I agree with you completely.
Gas in my area actually has gone down a lot recently. It’s like, $2.74 right now.
Red: You’ve got a good point, but you’re wrong about one thing. Sure, they can expand their business and create jobs. But, the problem is, they’re creating jobs for the Chinese, not for Americans. Why are they entitled to tax cuts if they’re not supplying Americans with the jobs they need done? They’re exporting jobs overseas, and that’s the LAST thing Americans need. That’s taking away from families and adding to the welfare and poverty in America.
Exactly. If you cut taxes for big corporations, it won’t create new jobs, it will just put more money in the pockets of the execs.
You need to brush up on your economic studies. Tax breaks allows companys to do more R&D, expand their business and hire more people. It allows them to lower prices, not raise them. Every bit of tax that large companies pay gets passed on to the consumer. Business costs ALWAYS get passed on to the consumer. Basic economics.
what ? I think your answer flows down hill, just ask Joe The Plumber.
Actually, Wal-Mart may be the only place people will be able to afford to shop. Luckily they provide so many good, high paying jobs!
This questions makes sense, so expect republicans to become irrational in their response
thank you, I have been saying that for so long… If you give money to the poor and middle class they will spend it which in turn will give more money to big business, everyone wins, but some peoples’ skulls are so thick that they don’t get it
The bottom line is that our tax rates for corporations really aren’t that high to begin with. Although companies in america do pay higher taxes than most other countries, they also get the benefits of our infrastructure which is far superior to other countries and gives us the ability to produce goods. Right now, that infrastructure is starting to deteriorate and if we don’t change direction joe the plumber is going to have no one left to hire him so he wont have to worry about taxes.
raise taxes on walmart and it shows up in the price of what they sell. You think walmart is stupid? you think walmart will pay their taxes? no…their customers will pay their taxes. Have fun buying bread at walmart for $12.00 per loaf.
I went there up north, everything was from China and it was not cheap at all. They sell frying pan that say cooking with indorr birds in the house may cause them to die! I would want to eat anything cooked out of thsi! It was 1 foot and half of sm print. I never shop there, I would if I had no chioce, but I make it a priority not to, and no I do not have a lot of money, people that Iknow work for the unions do and that is the way they support their fellow AMericans
My 10 year old gets it but its over the head of every republican including McCain.
Actually Money flows down. The problem is that the big corps got a bit too greedy in the late 80’s and early 90’s. They found one to many loop holes to line their CEO pockets with more and more.
Trickle down does work, when regulations are in place to allow it to happen.
We need more regulations on big buisness, not taxing them. When they get taxed harder they start cutting back on production and jobs for Americans.
Joe the Plumber… and my hubby… would call that “Socialist”.
But my hubby thinks Obama is a Terrorist. *sigh*
Walmart is making out big time. They are doing great right now because people are using their brains and shopping where the prices are better, not shopping where they feel they are smarter and more important.
Because the stock market is crashing and the investors that ran up the Oil prices by buying at nearly 150 dollars a barrel. Are dropping. The investors are running for cover and scared at what is to happen next.
Gasoline prices in Texas two months ago were at $4.00 a gallon
Right now.. we have $2.69 a gallon. YAY!!
Politics is at a sad, all time low juncture where people get elected to ensure their corporate buddies billions in kickback (Bush, Reagan, etc), and they manipulate the ordinary voter with lies about abortion and “those tax and spend democrats” and “he’s a socialist”.
There it is.
Raising WM taxes will help the middle class and small business owners and here’s why:
Has shopping at WM REALLY saved you any money? I have never been there and not spent more than I intended. Sure it feels good as I am putting the 1.97 items in my cart, but that adds up quickly!
A WM in your town has never actually helped your local economy (unless you live in NWA where the economy is still booming, largely in part because of the success of the WM chain.)
Raising WM taxes will benefit small businesses in your town (HELPING the middle class) because it levels the playing field for them when competing with WM for business.
Yeah lets give money to the poor, half of them will use it for buying drugs and booze. That will boost the economy! They will still go to WalMart to shoplift which just makes us pay higher prices. Of course when Obama fines them for not providing insurance they will get rid of people or raise prices even more to pay their fines! Ask Joe the plumber if shit flow up hill? Money won’t either it’s gravity folks, hand outs have not worked in this country. Welfare is getting worse not better.
If you can’t afford WalMart, you are in a world of hurt!
