Depending upon what you plan to use your borescope for, you may need a flexible borescope rather than the rigid version of the instrument. A flexible borescope may be necessary to complete a number of inspections. A rigid borescope may be used for some of these inspections, but it will not provide you with the range or scope that you need to properly view the areas or objects that you are trying to view. If you will be required to maneuver the instrument around corners or bends, a flexible borescope will be in order. Rigid borescopes do not bend… at all. Trying to use a rigid borescope for a job that requires the use of a flexible borescope will result in either the inability to view certain areas or damage to the expensive piece of equipment.
